About Hopetown Darlington

Darlington’s new railway-themed visitor attraction celebrates and promotes Darlington’s internationally significant 200-year railway heritage.

Their site has some amazing learning opportunities, along with our new outdoor play area Wagon Woods, which introduces the Stockton & Darlington Railway through adventurous play. Plan your exciting visit as part of your curriculum planning.

Beautiful early railway buildings provide learning in context as well as state of the art experiences. Bring your topic to life with our range of led and practical STEM workshops and delve into Darlington’s railway heritage to get hands-on with historical objects.
