KS2 groups can visit our popular, interactive Wonderlab gallery for free during term time and experience over 50 hands-on exhibits, watch live experiments at the Chemistry Bar and meet our Explainers who facilitate engagement.

For KS3 and KS4 school groups, their free, hands-on STEM careers gallery allows students to take a peek behind the scenes of technical workplaces, from medical laboratories to blockbuster filmsets.

Groups can plan their itinerary, book their visit and manage their booking using the museum's group booking portal.

About

A universe of discovery awaits school groups at the Science Museum. With curriculum-linked galleries, interactive live shows and hands-on workshops, a trip to the museum brings science topics to life outside of the classroom.

Ignite curiosity in science and maths in their hands-on, curriculum-linked Wonderlab gallery, uncover out-of-this-world stories in their free Space gallery or enjoy educational documentaries in their giant IMAX cinema.

Secondary schools will step into a world of STEM careers in Technicians: The David Sainsbury Gallery and explore the vital role technicians play to keep the world moving. In free, 60-minute Careers Uncovered workshops, KS3 and KS4 will meet technicians working for top organisations and hear what it’s like to do their jobs.

Alongside our many free galleries exploring everything from technology to flight, medicine to maths, schools can also enjoy our interactive gaming gallery, Power Up, where they’ll develop problem-solving skills and learn through collaboration and play.
