About

Calling all English teachers! Dickens Theatre Company’s acclaimed stage adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s Gothic thriller returns to Regent Theatre in March 2027.

London, 1888. A thick Fitzrovia fog cloaks the city. In the shadows, a sinister figure stalks the streets. A young child is brutally attacked. Who is this “sneering Satan” and will he strike again?

Part of DTC’s highly acclaimed Revision on Tour programme (alongside Macbeth), this accessible adaptation is specifically designed to support GCSE English study.

Performed by an ensemble cast of just six actors, this fast-paced production brings Stevenson’s dark and dangerous Victorian world vividly to life through inventive storytelling, atmospheric staging and dynamic multi-rolling performance.
