Shakespeare Revision for GCSE English Students
Revision On Tour: Macbeth is part of Dickens Theatre Company‘s highly acclaimed Revision on Tour programme, which also includes Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde. The production is designed to help students better understand the texts and to promote critical thinking, while staying entertaining for all audiences.
If you choose the matinee, students can stay for a free 20-minute post-show Q&A with the cast and director. It’s a hugely popular addition for school trips. Students get the chance to ask questions, deepen their understanding of the text and explore the production further.
You can also download the free Revision on Tour Education Pack to use alongside your trip. It’s a GCSE English teaching resource covering both productions in the Revision on Tour programme.

What to Expect on Your School Trip
Dickens Theatre Company proudly presents Macbeth, Shakespeare’s bloodiest tragedy. In this inventive adaptation, Shakespeare’s Chorus becomes the narrator, guiding audiences through the tangled web of ambition, betrayal and dark prophecy with engaging modern verse.
Performed by an ensemble of just six actors, this fast-paced, text-faithful production brings the Scottish Play vividly to life through dynamic multi-roling performance. Set against a backdrop of war, witchery and treason, Macbeth remains chillingly relevant in the 21st century.
