About Crazy For You
He’s a fish out of water and she’s a real catch
Theatre-mad Bobby Child is torn between his show-business dreams and running the family bank. He reluctantly heads west to Deadrock, Nevada, to foreclose on a theatre’s mortgage, only to fall for the theatre owner’s daughter, Polly. Desperate to prove his good faith, Bobby decides to put on a show – complete with dancers from the glamorous Zangler Follies in New York City – to save the theatre, renew the town and hopefully win Polly’s love.
With a riotously entertaining book by Ken Ludwig and overflowing with glorious Gershwin melodies (including Someone to Watch Over Me, I Got Rhythm and They Can’t Take That Away from Me), this large-scale production boasts 17 orchestra members and an incredible 34 strong cast. It’s a joyful celebration ‘blessed with ingenious, sparkling choreography from Susan Stroman, which sends you out on a high from the joy of music and dance’ Financial Times. The original production of Crazy For You won several Tony® and Olivier Awards, including Best Musical.

Drama Teacher, Connaught School for Girls
Adam Millard, Assistant Headteacher, Queen’s School“This is an absolutely stunning show! It was genuinely beautiful in terms of the dancing, the singing, the orchestra, the set, the costumes. Everything came together to showcase what musical theatre should be! Charlie Stemp is real triple threat! I booked tickets to see this again immediately on the train home.”
“We really really loved it. So fun and uplifting.”

“Absolutely wonderful performances from all cast! Such a classic show, full of laughs and outstanding choreography. The leads were both so impressive and the ensemble added constant interest throughout. Really enjoyed the whole evening and a beautiful theatre set too.”
Emily Smyth, Director of Drama, Henrietta Barnett School
“What a sensational evening! I saw a production in the West End in 1996 of this show but this was a whole different level. Laugh out loud funny, superb production values and stunning cast performances across the board – there was not a weak link in the entire show. Love the new orchestrations and want to see it again (and again…)”
Director of Music, Willington Prep School
“We loved this show!! Superb set, costume and lighting design, stunning choreography and incredible “showstopper” ensemble numbers! The best possible example of an “old school” musical. Charlie Stemp is flawless in the lead role and the rest of the cast support him brilliantly. Don’t miss this show!”
Emma Webb, Assistant Head (co-curricular) and Drama Teacher, Croydon High
“The dancing was incredible and there were some really great one liners throughout the show. Very enjoyable and entertaining, although the running time was a bit long.”
Head of Drama, Grey Court School
“Really enjoyed this show which was upbeat and fun and really great seats in the stalls too! The choreography was inventive and reminded me in part of STOMP using what was around to dance with or upon and full of clowning and exaggerated characters with the leads being brilliant!”
Moya Brewer, Drama Teacher, John F Kennedy Catholic School
“Absolutely phenomenal. I’d forgotten how amusing the script was, I laughed all the way through, but also got emotional at the right moments. I thought the performers were all excellent, tap is my favourite style of dance so those numbers were particularly stand out for me. The staging and scenery were so effective and executed so smoothly, you hardly noticed. The sunset at the back was particularly beautiful. All the costumes were fabulous, especially the Zangler Follies with the wings, the dream girls and Polly’s final dress. I enjoyed the show so much and would definitely love to go back. Thank you so much.”
Ginnie Morris, Head of Music, Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School
“Clever and brilliantly funny! I have a new favourite musical. I can’t fault a single thing about this show, every tiny detail was absolutely on point. We all loved it.”
