Once the top-secret home of World War Two Codebreakers, Bletchley Park is a popular destination for school trips. Students learn about the history of the site where technological innovation and human endeavour came together to make groundbreaking achievements that have helped shape the world we live in today.

Their new codebreaking experience includes a virtual tour of Bletchley Park, an Enigma demonstration and virtual workshop session. The unique virtual school trips are tailored for students of all ages with sessions for Primary, Secondary, Further and Higher Education.

Bletchley Park Virtual Workshop Session Activities

How does a Bletchley Park Virtual Learning Sessions work?

Team working was essential to making significant breakthroughs at Bletchley Park, and it’s no different during their new virtual sessions. During their virtual school trip, students are encouraged to ask questions, solve challenges and engage in a live video conference discussion with one of Bletchley Park’s learning specialists.

Virtual visits are easy to set up – you just need a webcam-enabled device and an internet connection to get you started.

Sessions also include pre-downloadable paper learning packs, designed for each student to support social distancing and individual user requirements.

Not done a virtual session before? No worries! You’ll be offered a 15-minute pre-session online meeting with a member of the Bletchley Park Learning team. This is an opportunity to test your software, to ask questions and to find out more about how the session will work.
