Planning a Business School Trip? We’re here to help!

Business school trips give students the opportunity to see how organisations operate in the real world, from how decisions get made to how money flows through a business. They work well for GCSE and A Level Business Studies, Economics and Enterprise groups, and can also support careers education and employability at Key Stage 3 and 4. Options range from behind the scenes workplace visits and finance sessions to enterprise workshops, museum experiences and talks led by people working in industry.

Browse the options below to find the right Business School Trip for your group, with full details on pricing, availability and age suitability.

Make the most of a Business School Trip

Business is a subject that makes far more sense when students can see it in action. A visit can show them how a product is made and sold, how a team is organised, or how financial decisions shape what an organisation can do next. Many students also come away with a clearer understanding of the different roles and careers available to them, which can be valuable well beyond the exam specification. Trips can be built around a single topic such as marketing, operations or finance, or used more broadly to give a whole cohort a shared reference point that teachers can return to throughout the year.

With so many choices, having the right support can make planning much easier. That’s where we come in. We work directly with school trip venues and providers to help you find the best options for your group.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I book a school trip?

It depends on the venue, but for popular attractions and theatre shows, booking a term or more ahead is advisable. Some productions and experiences have limited school availability, so the earlier you enquire the better your chances of getting your preferred date.

Do school trip venues offer free places for teachers?

Most school trip destinations offer one free adult place for every ten students booked, though this varies by venue. We include free place information on each trip profile so you know what to expect before you enquire.

Are there school trips that come with free teaching resources?

Yes, and many of the trips listed on The School Trip come with free lesson plans, classroom activities and other resources you can use before, during or after the visit.

Are there school trips suitable for primary and secondary students?

Yes. The options on this page cover a range of age groups. We include age recommendations for every trip so you can quickly identify what works for your students.

Are school trip prices inclusive of VAT?

All prices listed on The School Trip are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated on the individual trip profile.

What if I need to cancel or change my booking?

Cancellation and amendment policies vary by venue. We recommend checking the terms directly with the venue when you enquire. Our School Trip Coordinators can help you understand what to expect before you commit.

How do I start planning my trip?

You can find out more and enquire directly through the trip profile. Or our School Trip Coordinators are on hand to help you compare options and get the information you need. Email hello@theschooltrip.co.uk or call 020 8064 0974.
