About

Give students a theatre trip they’ll never forget. Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap is the longest-running play in theatre history, and a perfect fit for GCSE Drama and English classes exploring live performance, character and stagecraft.

Since 1952, Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap has kept audiences guessing longer than any other play in history. Now booking into its record-breaking 75th year at St Martin’s Theatre, and running for 2 hours, 20 minutes (including an interval), this genre-defining whodunnit still keeps the West End on the edge of its seat.

A shocking murder in London. Seven strangers snowed in at a remote country guesthouse. When a police sergeant arrives with a warning no one expects, it becomes clear a killer is already in their midst. One by one, the guests reveal their secrets as suspicion tightens its grip. Who among them is capable of murder?

For school groups, this is live storytelling at its sharpest: plot, character and suspense, built and paid off in real time. Recommended for ages 7+, with three midweek matinees, it is the perfect show for school students.
