The Coffin of Ramses II offers a once-in-a-generation opportunity to see the pharaoh’s original sarcophagus, shown in the UK for the first time.

Masterpieces from the royal tombs of Tanis including the gold mask of King Amenemope and the silver coffin of Shoshenq II.

Beautifully preserved animal mummies and amulets that shed light on Egypt’s spiritual life and beliefs in the afterlife.

1 free adult ticket per 10 students (extra tickets from £9.50)

Rate available for school groups of 10+. 1 free adult ticket for every 10 students. Extra adult tickets are priced the same as student tickets. The classroom (The Pharaoh’s Study) is available between 10:00am and 12:00pm and can be booked by schools for a teacher-led session using content from the resource pack. As well as use of the classroom and a copy of the printed resource pack, each student gets a Ramses pencil and sticker pack – cost per student £3.50. Between 1:00pm and 2:00pm the classroom is available for schools to eat packed lunches (no extra charge if using classroom for learning session). Capacity of classroom is 30 students seated at desks. If needed, desks can be pushed to the side and students can eat lunch on the floor, accommodating up to 60 students. Rates not valid during school holidays. All tickets are subject to availability and exclusion dates may apply.

Are there any hidden or additional costs?

Absolutely not! We always get you the best rates and NEVER charge booking or transaction fees.

Do teachers get free tickets?

They do! You’ll receive 1 free adult ticket per 10 students (extra tickets from £9.50).

How far in advance do we need to book?

To secure the best date, we recommend reserving your tickets as far in advance as possible. Ramses and The Pharaohs’ Gold is booking until 17 Dec 26.

Can I change my numbers and date?

You’re able to change your numbers and date (subject to availability) during your reservation period. Once your invoice has been paid, all tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. See our T&Cs for more details theschooltrip.co.uk/terms.

When is the payment due?

We always get you the longest payment period possible. Your School Trip Coordinator will let you know this when reserving your trip.

Are the prices also open to home educators and youth groups?

We offer special rates for home educators and youth groups as well. Speak to us for details.

Is there a local coach drop-off point?

There are coach drop-off points within walking distance.

When do we need to arrive?

We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before your time slot.
