Stalls and Dress Circle tickets reduced to £19.50 per student for Tuesday and Wednesday evening performances - book and pay 8 weeks out
Stalls and Dress Circle tickets reduced to £25 per student
Matinee tickets reduced to £29.50 per student from September
1 free adult ticket per 10 students

Tickets for school groups 10+ are available for £25 in the stalls and dress circle for Tuesday - Thursday evening and Wednesday matinee performances until September. From September matinee tickets are £29.50 per student. A limited number of £19.50 tickets are also available for Tuesday - Wednesday evenings only, these are on an accelerator rate and must be booked and paid for 8 weeks out. For every 10 seats booked at £17.50, £19.50 or £25, £29.50 school groups will receive one free teacher place. All tickets subject to availability. Education workshops are available on Wednesday mornings during term time from 10.30am – 12pm only and take place at the Cambridge Theatre.

Matilda The Musical is the multi-award winning musical from the Royal Shakespeare Company, inspired by the beloved book by Roald Dahl.

With book by Dennis Kelly and original songs by Tim Minchin, Matilda The Musical is the story of an extraordinary little girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny. Are there any hidden or additional costs?

Absolutely not! We always get you the best rates and NEVER charge booking or transaction fees.

Do teachers get free tickets?

They do! You’ll receive 1 free adult ticket per 10 students.

How far in advance do we need to book?

To secure the best seats, we recommend reserving your tickets as far in advance as possible. RSC’s Matilda The Musical is booking until 17 Jan 27.

Can I change my numbers and date?

You’re able to change your numbers and date (subject to availability) during your reservation period. Once your invoice has been paid, all tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. See our T&Cs for more details theschooltrip.co.uk/terms.

When is the payment due?

We always get you the longest payment period possible. Your School Trip Coordinator will let you know this when reserving your trip.

Are the prices also open to home educators and youth groups?

We offer special rates for home educators and youth groups as well. Speak to us for details.

Is there a local coach drop-off point?

There are coach drop-off points within walking distance.

When do we need to arrive?

We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the start of the performance.

How long is the performance?

2 hours, 35 minutes (including an interval).

Is this trip suitable for children with SEND?

We want to make your visit as inclusive as possible, so please let us know if any of your students have any SEND or behavioural needs that you feel would be useful for us to know.

Is there anything I should know about the content or age suitability?

This trip is suitable for ages 6+. This production features flashing lights, lasers and loud sound effects. Latex balloons are popped onstage and stage haze (smoke) is used. Throughout the performance actors interact in audience spaces.
