The School Trip | Guides

Paultons Theme Park has added two new dates to its KS3 Maths Day for 2026 and 2027, along with a wider choice of curriculum workshops.

Students can now pre-book from three sessions built entirely around real park data, from calculating ride speeds to analysing marketing statistics. Every workshop, the free maths trail and general admission are included in the discounted school trip rate.

With 1st October 2026 already fully booked, secure your reservation for one of the remaining dates before the spring sessions fill up too.

What to Expect on Your School Trip

Whether you’re looking for workshops, fun days out, or a mixture of both, Paultons Park has plenty to excite and engage students across all Key Stages. With short queue times, huge variety and great value prices, Paultons is a top choice for KS1 to KS4 visits.

For schools looking to add a curriculum workshop, Paultons Park offers a wide range of subjects designed to meet National Curriculum criteria. Their unique classroom, Professor Blast’s Learning Lab, is an immersive environment designed to spark curiosity, and students can enjoy close encounters with a range of animals in the biology sessions, ideal for Foundation and KS1.

The popular Rollercoaster Forces and Ride Programming sessions give KS2 students hands on experience, alongside newer workshops for KS2 groups. For KS3 students, Paultons Theme Park specialises in the real life application of Maths and Computing, with sessions on statistics, speed and technology. KS4 provision, which supports coursework projects, includes marketing, customer service and business workshops. Paultons Theme Park is experienced in hosting large volumes of school trips and offers free on site parking.

The Expanded KS3 Maths Day

The Maths Day now runs across five dates rather than three, with two extra sessions added for spring 2027 after strong demand for the October slots. Schools can pre-book any of three 30 minute workshops, each one built around genuine park data rather than textbook examples:

Speed, Distance & Time: students time rides and apply the formula to calculate speeds, then compare results to work out which attraction has the fastest drop.

Venn Diagrams & Probability: students sort the park’s animals, rides and outlets into Venn diagrams using set criteria, then work through probability challenges.

Statistics & Marketing: students study real park data and use it to draw conclusions for a marketing strategy.

Sessions run on 1st, 2nd and 5th October 2026, and 5th and 8th March 2027. All workshops are subject to availability, so it’s worth naming your preferred session when you get in touch.

Why Book It for Your Next Maths Trip

Paultons Theme Park links to Maths, and the Maths Day gives KS3 students a genuinely hands on way to apply speed, distance and time calculations, probability and statistical analysis outside the classroom, alongside a full day at the park.

Student tickets start from £19.00, with one free adult ticket for every ten student tickets at KS3, and school trip rates apply for groups of 12 or more. The free math’s trail and activity booklet run alongside the workshops at no extra cost, so there’s nothing else to book once you’re in.

The 1st October 2026 date is already fully booked, so it’s worth getting in touch soon to lock in one of the remaining dates before they go the same way.
