Inspired by Matilda The Musical, this educational resource gives you and your students insight into the process of staging this award-winning musical.

In writing Matilda The Musical Dennis Kelly and Tim Minchin created new characters, stories, and songs into Roald Dahl’s novel of Matilda.

This teacher resource has been designed to support and enrich students’ writing experience in school. Through a selection of practical games and activities, students will build up an authentic experience of the editing process from the perspective of a writer preparing a script for rehearsal room to stage.

Use this versatile resource as an introduction for students in Upper Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. Activities are also suitable for more advanced study with GSCE and A-Level students.
