Why Book Your School Trip to Matilda
It’s one of the most curriculum-rich shows in the West End right now. Matilda connects strongly to:
- English and Literacy: based on Roald Dahl’s novel, the show is a brilliant companion text, exploring narrative, character and the power of storytelling
- Drama: scripted drama, character performance, staging and theatre design are all richly represented
- Music: Tim Minchin’s original score, including Naughty, When I Grow Up and Revolting Children, gives students excellent material for composition and analysis
- PSHE and Citizenship: themes of resilience, standing up to injustice, self-belief and the importance of education run throughout
School tickets start from £17.50, with 1 free adult place for every 10 students. There’s also a free Planning Guide available to help you organise everything before you go.
School trip dates book up very fast, particularly for matinee performances in the summer term. If you’re thinking about a school trip for May, June or July 2027, get your reservation sorted now so you don’t miss out.
