To start the year off with a bang The School Trip team went for a little school trip of their own to see for themselves all the wonderful things Liverpool has to offer.
We highly recommend a trip to Liverpool, or if you’ve been before or live nearby definitely check out some of the amazing places we were lucky enough to explore. Each of these places offer amazing school group rates, with some offering bespoke tours, workshops, free entry and free teaching resources.

National Museums Liverpool Walker Art Gallery
We especially loved seeing some great 18th Century European Art, Baroque Art and Victorian Narrative Paintings.

There were so many great exhibitions to see from their aquarium to dinosaurs to space! They also have a planetarium which is worth the visit.
It’s free to go to the World Museum on a school trip, plus they offer a great range or workshops you can include in your visit.

A great place to discover not only more about the Beatles but also history of Liverpool and some music history. With a lovely outdoor space for your students to explore and a new (very cool) bandstand for performances Strawberry Field is a great place to take your students to.

Liverpool Football Club Stadium Tour & Museum
Deep dive into Anfield stadiums history, the team and managers over the years, the achievements of Liverpool FC and take a look behind the scenes. This stadium tour and museum make a great school trip, plus they offer free teaching resources to enhance your visit.

National Museums Liverpool Maritime & Slavery Museums
It’s the perfect place to learn more about, not just the Titanic, but also about various other ships including the Lusitania.
We particularly loved the Egyptian exhibition – so fascinating to discover more about the cost of the tombs and the embalming process.

It’s easy to forget just how big trains actually are and how much they’ve changed over the years. Also fascinating to deep dive into humans and how much our lives have changed throughout time and what influenced those changes.
Museum of Liverpool offers such a wide variety and is free its definitely worth a school trip.
