Vamos Theatre is the UK’s leading full mask theatre company. Alongside their performances, they’ve been training teachers and students since they began in 2006. They help participants find confidence in physical theatre, devising and non-verbal performance and teaching.

The webinar is created especially for teachers of KS3 and above who’d like an injection of inspiration, ideas and resources to help with characterisations, devising sessions and, of course, mask technique.

The work can also be transferred to creating theatre without a mask if you are currently not able to use them during COVID-19.

About the webinar

Join Rachael Savage and members of our creative team for a two-hour webinar, full of exercises and ideas taken straight from Vamos Theatre’s professional rehearsal room.

During the session, they’ll discuss how they approach mask, character development and devising from stimulus techniques, and show numerous practical examples – with plenty of time for you to ask questions and address specific issues.

Exercises have been adapted in line with COVID-19 restrictions and can be taken straight back to the classroom and applied to your own work, whether in mask theatre or the devising process of any non-verbal characterisation and storytelling.

There’s no need to make notes, as they’ll also provide a comprehensive PDF resource pack to support the webinar.
