About
To celebrate the 2000th performance of Witness for the Prosecution, the production has launched an exciting new writing competition for Secondary school students.
The perfect opportunity for budding young authors, the chosen entrant will win tickets for their school class to see Witness for the Prosecution at London County Hall at a performance of their choice (subject to availability).
All entrants need to do in order to enter the competition is write a short thriller of up to 2,000 words inspired by Witness for the Prosecution, and submit their story by Friday 3 May 2024 at Midday.
The competition judges will include Agatha Christie’s great-grandson James Prichard, and bestselling author Kate Mosse.

What’s the prize for the competition?
The winning entrant will recieve a class trip to see Witness for the Prosecution.

What do my students need to create to enter?
To enter the competition, your students will need to write an original short thriller story, up to 2,000 words.
Who is the competition open to?
The competition is open to all students in UK schools in Years 7, 8 or 9 (or equivalent).
How do I enter their stories?
You can enter your students work using Witness for the Prosecution’s competition form.
When is the competition closing?
All entries must be submited by Friday 3rd May 2024 at Midday.
When will the winners be announced?
Agatha Christie’s great-grandson James Prichard, and bestselling author Kate Mosse will judge all the entries and the winner will be announced on Friday 7th June 2024.
