About.

The highlight of every visit to the Welsh Mining Experience, this award-winning tour is led by former miners who love to share their personal
memories & stories.

Get fitted with your miner’s helmet and start the tour in their restored engine houses. Meet the characters who shaped the coal industry, then journey “underground” to experience the dark, dangerous conditions in which men and boys worked. Discover how the “black gold” cultivated from our landscape powered the world’s ships and industries before hopping aboard DRAM! A cinematic experience in which you ride the last dram of coal to the surface of the mine – hold on tight!

A Welsh Coal Mining Experience would be delighted to work with you to tailor your visit around the needs of your group. Mix and match activities to suit and do as many as you like!
