About

St Albans Cathedral’s Religious Education Trail, for your students.

The Cathedral is open every day of the year, but why was it built, how is it used and what do Christians believe? St Albans Signs & Symbols Trail and The Cathedral as a Place of Worship Trail explore all of these themes and more in an interactive and engaging way. For Key Stage 1 or Early Years pupils, they also offer a popular Celebrations Trail.

Most schools combine two activities, usually a trail and a workshop, to make a whole day of their visit. Trails include drama and artefacts to help students develop their learning, whilst workshops allow them to create a piece of artwork to take home at the end of the visit.
