WWT Martin Mere’s Plant Detectives KS1 Workshop
Key Info
Accompany your school trip to WWT Martin Mere with this workshop for KS1.
In a safe, wild part of the waterfowl gardens students will play Seed Tig to develop their understanding that plants have five needs of life. Then they explore the wetland habitat in small groups to identify and name some common wetland plants and help the student to draw and write about the species they have found.
Informative and engaging, WWT Martin Mere’s curriculum-linked learning sessions make the most of the fantastic outdoor environments and are suitable for a range of ages and abilities.
Led by experienced staff, sessions are very much hands-on, promoting learning through exploration and discovery.
