About

Accompany your school trip to WWT Martin Mere with this workshop for KS2.

The students sort themselves into food chains with the help of WWT Martin Mere’s wetland head-bands. In small groups, students use their ID charts to identify and record wetland plants and their special features. They’ll visit a reed-bed for its unique atmosphere but also to discover that this habitat cleans and stores water and provides homes for some very special creatures.

Informative and engaging, WWT Martin Mere’s curriculum-linked learning sessions make the most of the fantastic outdoor environments and are suitable for a range of ages and abilities.

Led by experienced staff, sessions are very much hands-on, promoting learning through exploration and discovery.
