About WOW! Said the Owl

This new digital production and workshop by Little Angel Theatre is a brilliant way to bring learning to life and take a virtual theatre school trip in your classroom.

Synopsis

Explore the wonderful world of colours with a curious little owl, who is determined to stay awake and see what daylight brings.

From the warm, pink glow of dawn through to a day filled with the bright colours of green leaves, blue sky, white clouds and, finally, a stunning rainbow – ‘WOW!’ But despite the beauty of the daytime world, the little owl decides that the night-time stars are the most beautiful of all.

WOW! Said the Owl, the acclaimed children’s book by award-winning author, Tim Hopgood, is brought to life through a blend of beautiful storytelling, puppetry and music. Directed by Joy Haynes, this show will delight and excite very young audiences.

About Little Angel Theatre

Little Angel Theatre is a home for puppetry. Since its doors first opened in 1961 the theatre has been dedicated to creating and sharing inspiring stories. Puppetry is at the heart of this innovative theatre, from igniting the imaginations of the youngest minds to equipping tomorrow’s puppeteers with the tools they need to succeed.

Since March 2020, Little Angel Theatre has created a host of free activity guides and video stories to help keep children entertained during lockdown. All of the guides use simple materials (most of which can be found around the home) and are aimed at children from 3 to 11. As lockdown restrictions have eased, Little Angel Theatre has begun to produce digital theatre productions, which can be enjoyed by children at school and at home.
