The British Library’s Research Matters Workshop

How do we know we are asking the right questions to find the information that we need? Dive into the cycle of knowledge and research with these free learning resources.

The activities, presented in short-form video format, use items from the Library’s collection to spark curiosity. Students will explore the stages of research by analysing these items, constructing relevant questions and look at a variety of sources. They will categorise and organise their findings in a ‘Wall of Wonder’ that will help them build and share their research in a format of their choice. The materials are presented in three distinct parts:

• Research Process
• Living Knowledge

These can be explored in one workshop or spread across different workshops at your convenience. These resources are ready to use and supported by full teachers’ notes.
