St Albans Cathedral’s The Story of St Alban Workshop Trail
Key Info
St Albans Cathedral’s special Worksheet Trail exploring the story of St Alban.
Suitable for Key Stage 2, this activity teaches students about the story of St Alban, whilst allowing them to explore the Cathedral building to find out more for themselves.
The trail starts with a 30-minute introduction from the Learning Team, during which students learn about the world in which Alban lived, and have the opportunity to try on and handle some Roman armour and weapons too!
Led by their own class teachers, the students then explore different parts of the Cathedral, including the Nave and the Shrine of St Alban, as they use stained glass windows and medieval wall paintings to learn more about the life of St Alban and how he is remembered today.
