WWT Martin Mere’s The Water Cycle, Wetlands and Me KS2 & KS3 Workshop
Key Info
Accompany your school trip to WWT Martin Mere with this workshop for KS2 & KS3.
Make a cloud in a bottle to start off the water cycle and then model evaporating, condensing and falling into the stream then back to the sea. Water pollution becomes a problem but the game ends with positive solutions from the students. A practical investigation into what happens to water when it falls on different surfaces allows the students to test their predictions. Finally we see the difference between Greenville with its rich habitats and Greytown, when it rains on the nearby mountainside.
Informative and engaging, WWT Martin Mere’s curriculum-linked learning sessions make the most of the fantastic outdoor environments and are suitable for a range of ages and abilities.
Led by experienced staff, sessions are very much hands-on, promoting learning through exploration and discovery.
