This free educational video from the UK Parliament covers the key processes in making laws. Including where the ideas for new laws come from and who has a say on them in Parliament.
This video is part of the Learn Live Sessions. Learn Live is a fun, interactive approach to engage students with the work of the UK Parliament. Each session lasts around 30 minutes and is streamed on YouTube.
It’s up to you how many students, classes or year groups join in. Make sure your pupils can hear the session, as they will be asked to discuss specific questions throughout. All you need is a whiteboard with a reliable internet connection.
