For schools, Lighthouse’s Creative Engagement team are on hand to help facilitate enriching cultural experiences for students and are always happy to explore workshop opportunities.

The venue’s Partner School scheme provides opportunities for young people, their teachers and their parents to engage with activities including backstage tours, residencies, masterclasses and workshops, work experience, and internships.

“For teachers, Lighthouse is an invaluable partner. The professional development sessions you provide equip educators with innovative tools and techniques to bring creativity into the classroom. I particularly enjoyed the training day at Lighthouse during Discover! Creative Careers week. It was an exceptional experience, and I found it incredibly beneficial for enhancing my teaching methods and gaining new creative insights for careers in the Arts. Your team’s dedication to supporting teachers ensures that we feel confident and inspired to nurture our students’ talents and broaden their horizons.”

Lauren Keene, Head of Performing Arts, St Edwards School

“By being a partner school, our students have had access to things that we simply could not provide solely as a school. Students are given aspirational experiences and the opportunity to ask questions that they can’t ask teachers but can ask those working currently in the profession. Some of the talks that our students have experienced have involved adults who themselves attended our school and this is really important that students see that it is possible to work within the arts and locally.”

Belinda Ellicott, Director of Performing Arts, Poole High School
