About

Pilot Theatre is a theatre company and arts education charity based in York, North Yorkshire, which creates, produces and tours theatre productions, workshops, participatory projects and immersive digital work, with a special focus on reaching younger audiences aged 11-25.

They seek to create a cultural space where young people from all backgrounds can encounter, express and interrogate big ideas, powerfully relevant to their lives and to make work that encourages people to ‘think harder and feel more’.

They run a year-round engagement and participation programme that focuses on working with young people in schools and community settings nationwide. By offering high-quality experiences, they encourage young people to be actively involved in the arts, develop their own creativity, and use the arts for self-expression and the articulation of their thoughts and feelings.
