About The Crucible

Bring your students to see Arthur Miller’s timely thriller during its limited nine-week run in London’s Globe Theatre.

Consumed by paranoia, superstition and a ruthless sense of justice, a climate of fear and mass hysteria sweeps through the town of Salem, Massachusetts when rumours grow that a group of girls are practicing witchcraft. What lies are the townspeople prepared to tell themselves in order to survive?

Ola Ince (Othello and Romeo & Juliet at Shakespeare’s Globe) directs this visceral, gripping, ultra-live adventure into a desperate, dangerous world where everyone is implicated, and nobody is safe.

For the full school trip experience, add practical and interactive workshops to deepen your students’ engagement with the production. These can be delivered in your classroom (before or after your visit) or at Shakespeare’s Globe (on the day of your visit).

Content guidance – This play contains scenes of physical violence, scenes of a sexual nature and references to sexual and physical abuse. Please contact the Ticketing team on 020 7401 9919 or tickets@shakespearesglobe.com if you would like further details on the play’s content.

The Crucible is presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Ltd, www.josef-weinberger.com.
