About Bank of England Museum.

ACF Type: wysiwyg

The Bank of England’s Museum educates students on the role of the Bank and what it does. Their five galleries travel through the Bank’s history with themed rooms and interactive exhibits.

Students can pick up a gold bar and discover why their building is on top of one the world’s largest stores of gold. They’ll also learn why people started to use paper money and how they make notes difficult to copy. At the heart of the museum is the Stock Office, giving a glimpse of what the inside of the Bank of England would have looked like 200 hundred years ago.
