In writing Matilda The Musical Dennis Kelly and Tim Minchin created new characters, stories, and songs into Roald Dahl’s novel of Matilda.
The film give insights into how the musical was created and shows how the storylines differ between the novel and the musical. Tim Minchin also talks about how they brought these characters to life for the stage.
Use this versatile resource as an introduction for students in Upper Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3. Activities are also suitable for more advanced study with GSCE and A-Level students.
