About

West Africa, a key region in the origins of music, is home to a huge range of fun, high energy polyrhythms. This workshop explores these rhythms and how they can be adapted and developed onto body percussion, providing a new and creative approach.

This session is based on a masterclass delivered by drummer, percussionist, educator and director of ‘Drum Africa’, Laurence Hill.

Developed with generous funding from Arts Council England / The National Lottery.
