KS2 Oracy workshop: The Storytelling Society – Punchdrunk Enrichment Stores

In this two hour workshop at our venue <u>Punchdrunk Enrichment Stores</u>, children get the chance to enter a magical, analogue world. Guided by two skilled facilitators, we provide the perfect environment to bring out the inner storyteller in every learner, super charging your pupil’s oracy skills. This workshop has been developed inclusively with provision for SEND children built in from the start.

By taking a child out of their traditional learning environment and using our immersive learning techniques, we know pupils make surprising leaps in their learning. Your class will explore a richly tactile space, full of curious objects from the antique to the extraordinary.

Over the course of two hours, children will use speaking, listening and communications skills. They will leave the workshop feeling inspired and energised, with new skills and confidence to take back into the classroom.

Pupils will:

• Gain confidence in expressing ideas creatively.
• Build listening skills and value of other’s perspectives
• Participate in spoken collaboration as a problem-solving tool.
• Work together towards a collective outcome.
