About

St Albans Cathedral’s Maths Trails, for your students during your visit.

Drawing inspiration from the Cathedral building, we have a number of activities that develop skills in Maths, ranging from 2D and 3D shape, measuring and pattern & symmetry. For EYFS and Key Stage 1, their Buckets Full of Shape & Colour and Shape & Measure trails are best suited, whilst for Key Stage 2 and 3, their Maths trail is ideal. To compliment these, their Stained Glass and Clay Tile workshops are perfect.

Most schools combine two activities, usually a trail and a workshop, to make a whole day of their visit. Trails include drama and artefacts to help students develop their learning, whilst workshops allow them to create a piece of artwork to take home at the end of the visit.
