About

Looking closely at the decoration on museum objects, students will explore the links between mathematics and art, and how geometry is an essential component of Islamic art.

Working with an artist trained in the Islamic tradition and taking inspiration from objects in our Ottoman, Middle-Eastern and Asian arms and armour collections, students will create tessellating patterns using a compass and watercolours.

Please note 4 weeks’ advance booking required.
