World Museum’s Bees dance workshop with Flux
Key Info
How many species of bee exist? What are their habitats? Which have the most positive impact on our environment? And how can humans help them survive?
This workshop, led by FLUX, will immerse children in learning about science through music and art, starting with a visit to Bees: A Story of Survival, our exhibition at World Museum.
The exhibition Bees: A Story Of Survival is designed by artist Wolfgang Buttress, famous for his multi-sensory artworks inspired by our evolving relationship with the natural world. It celebrates the diversity and beauty of bees, their fascinating behaviour and how vital they are for allowing ecosystems to function.
After a tour of the exhibition, children will take part in a dance workshop facilitated by the award-winning FLUX education consultancy, specialising in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) creative education. FLUX will present key scientific concepts and language and promote the benefits of dance and nature for our health and wellbeing.
The workshop will be supported by a downloadable resource that links to the concepts included in the exhibition.
Workshops are available between 26 November and 6 December 2024
