About

Accompany your school trip to WWT Martin Mere with this workshop for KS2.

Students will meet the furry snorkel-mouse with its five amazing adaptations for living in sewers! Then visit the otters to make observations of their structure, behaviour and habitat. They’ll play Bat and Moth to experience another amazing survival method. The final challenge is to create a new creature, with five adaptations, from WWT Martin Mere’s boxes of theatrical props.

Informative and engaging, WWT Martin Mere’s curriculum-linked learning sessions make the most of the fantastic outdoor environments and are suitable for a range of ages and abilities.

Led by experienced staff, sessions are very much hands-on, promoting learning through exploration and discovery.
