The Hunger Games: On Stage has announced a new company, taking over from 23rd October 2026 as the production enters its second year at Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre. Elizabeth Anderson leads as Katniss Everdeen, with Vinnie Copeland as Peeta Mellark.

The Hunger Games: On Stage is “The city’s hottest new theatre ticket” (The Hollywood Reporter), now playing at the brand-new, state-of-the-art Troubadour Canary Wharf Theatre.
In this world premiere theatrical adaptation, Suzanne Collins’ global phenomenon, brought to life by Lionsgate’s blockbuster motion picture, erupts into a live spectacular of breathtaking scale. Students step into the world of Panem and follow Katniss Everdeen, as her story of courage, hope and defiance ignites in front of them, in what The Guardian calls a “dazzling dystopia”.
The Hunger Games: On Stage’s Year Two Cast
Alongside the three leads, Daisy Statham plays Prim, Alix Dunmore plays Mrs. Everdeen, Isabel Della-Porta plays Effie Trinket and Theo Ogundipe plays Cinna. Neil McDermott (EastEnders) takes on Haymitch Abernathy and Daniel Brocklebank (Coronation Street) plays Caesar Flickerman. John Malkovich continues as President Snow on screen.
In the arena, Jason Battersby plays Cato, Myla Carmen plays Clove, Montel Morrison plays Thresh, Jhanaica van Mook plays Glimmer and Jake Scott Newton plays Marvel, with Aiya Agustin returning as Rue.
The adaptation is by Conor McPherson (The Weir, Girl from the North Country) and directed by Matthew Dunster (2:22 A Ghost Story, Hangmen), with set design by Miriam Buether, lighting by Lucy Carter, video by Tal Rosner and illusions by Chris Fisher. The 1,200 seat venue was purpose-built in the round for this production, which puts your students inside the action rather than watching it from a distance.

For GCSE and A Level Drama groups it works as a live theatre production to evaluate, with plenty to analyse in the staging, set, lighting and illusion work. Student tickets are £29.50 for Bands A and B, with 1 free teacher place for every 10 students. School trip rates apply to Tuesday to Thursday evening performances and Friday matinees, excluding school holidays. The production is booking until 17th October 2027.
