Witness for the Prosecution has revealed its sixteenth cast, and with it an extension at London County Hall until 19th September 2027 as the production enters its tenth year. Matthew McGivern and Sophie Craig make their West End debuts as Leonard Vole and Romaine Vole, taking to the stand from 22nd September 2026, alongside returning company members Jo Stone-Fewings, Crispin Redman, Jude Owusu and David Shaw-Parker. Witness for the Prosecution’s Sixteenth Cast
Directed by Lucy Bailey, whose credits include UK tours of Death on the Nile, Murder on the Orient Express and And Then There Were None, the new company continues a run that has held audiences since 2017. Stone-Fewings returns as Sir Wilfrid Robarts QC, Redman as Mr Mayhew, Owusu as Mr Myers QC and Shaw-Parker as Mr Justice Wainwright, with McGivern and Craig stepping into the courtroom as Leonard and Romaine Vole.
Staged inside the real Chamber at London County Hall, the production earned Best Revival nominations at the 2018 Olivier and WhatsOnStage Awards. “Classic Christie. The Queen of Cunning has been brilliantly served,” wrote the Daily Mail.
The announcement lands as the British Library opens Agatha Christie: A World of Mystery this October, a major exhibition marking 50 years since the author’s death that includes items from Witness for the Prosecution itself.
