Disney Theatrical Free Teaching Resources & Activity Hub
The new resource hub is offering free, downloadable, creative activities for educators and parents from The Lion King, Mary Poppins, Frozen and Aladdin. Activities range from costume-making and designing your own set model to art projects and creative writing according to Key Stage.
Disney Theatrical’s musicals have always been a hit with schools. All their current and past productions offer a wealth of teaching resources, lesson plans and educational videos to support a school trip.
Their shows are suitable for all ages and Key Stages, linking to a wide range of subjects and curriculum areas. Accompanying resources link directly to Art & Design, Drama, English and PSHE. The familiar stories and songs also give a great introduction to the theatre.
Students and families will be able to get behind-the-scenes with videos and career-focused podcasts. Students can learn what goes into putting on these shows every night, with their backstage videos and insightful ‘Getting Ready to Roar’ documentary.
Over the coming weeks, Disney Theatrical will be showcasing some of the most popular parts of their free education programmes. For more information and to download their free resources, click here.
