National Theatre at Home continues with their five-star production of Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre, a collaboration with Bristol Old Vic. Here’s everything you need to watch the show and support home learning with their free teaching resources.
About Jane Eyre.
The classic story of the trailblazing Jane is as inspiring as ever. This bold and dynamic production uncovers one woman’s fight for freedom and fulfilment on her own terms.
Jane Eyre’s spirited heroine faces life’s obstacles head-on, surviving poverty, injustice and the discovery of bitter betrayal before taking the ultimate decision to follow her heart.
This innovative reimagining of Charlotte Brontë’s masterpiece is a collaboration between the National Theatre and Bristol Old Vic and is directed by Sally Cookson.
Please note, this filmed performance was given a BBFC rating of 12A, and it contains some strong language.

National Theatre At Home.
National Theatre At Home is a way of seeing some of the NT’s famous work from the comfort of our homes, each Thursday from 7pm.
The series kicked off with their hit production of One Man, Two Guvnors. They continued with a range of productions including Jane Eyre, Treasure Island, Frankenstein, Barber Shop Chronicles and A Streetcar Named Desire.
Currently available is the Nottingham Playhouse production of Alan Bennett’s The Madness of George III. Small Island, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Les Blancs, The Deep Blue Sea and Amadeus has also been announced.
