Bring the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre and their experts right into your classroom!
About Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre
The Roald Dahl Museum is the perfect place to see the writing process in action by one of its masters. Students will discover how they can use the same techniques themselves and find out more about Roald Dahl’s life while exploring their fun, interactive galleries in one of their facilitated workshops.
Their schools’ programme is delivered by an experienced Learning Team. All of their team hold an Enhanced DBS clearance and regularly review and update their professional skills.
They offer a range of workshops not only at the museum but also virtual. Their online workshops explore the characters that Roald Dahl created and encourage your students to create their own unique characters.
Livestream learning in your classroom
Bring the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre and our experts right into your classroom!
Your workshop leader will connect you directly to the Museum through a mix of pre-recorded films in and around their galleries, live presentation, and facilitated activities using pre-delivered resources for your class to do with your workshop leader.
Discover the different ways that Roald Dahl found ideas for his characters before using two of these techniques to start creating your very own. Perfect for KS1-KS3 students.
Included in the cost of a Livestream workshop are:
- all learning materials needed in a downloadable Resource Pack
- a downloadable pre and post workshop Activities Pack
- a downloadable Roald Dahl FAQ poster
- a 20 minute tech test on a day prior to your workshop to test your tech and discuss any logistics for the day
- 10 minutes of set up time just ahead of your workshop start time to help avoid delays in beginning your workshop
You don’t need to be a Wonka tech wizard to enjoy this experience with your class! They will guide you through the process to make setting up your session as straightforward as possible.
Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre makes a great school trip, but if you’re unable to get there they have some great Creative Character online workshops that you can easily access and enjoy with your students.
