See what our teachers said

“The event was amazing . The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and extremely helpful”

Andrew Battams, Maths Teacher, Links Hatfield Academy

“We really enjoyed the experience. It was very well-organised and the guides were brilliant – just the right mixture of safety and humour. We had Karl as our lead instructor and he was extremely knowledgeable and Martin was great as his second in command. We really enjoyed the walk up and down and the time spent at the top was just right – they created a great atmosphere with the music and I can imagine that it would be great taking part in an activity up there.”

Joanna Alexander, Maths Leader, Henry Cavendish Primary School

“It was great fun, enough of a sense of achievement to climb but not too arduous. Would be a good trip for end of Year 6 celebration. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, took the safety part seriously and made sure we were all able to do it.”

Robert Blair School

“Had a great time at Up at the O2! The school trip staff and the O2 staff did a brilliant job in organising the event which was run very smoothly. I never considered that this could be an educational trip but I can now see how different departments could offer this to their students. Our guide was very upbeat, knowledgeable, encouraging and reassuring. A memorable event which staff and students will love.”

“Just wanted to say thank you for the opportunity to do ‘Up the 02’ yesterday – a great experience. Very well organised and guides, Karl and Martin, were great and informative. Will definitely be something we will look at for our students in the future.”

HCUC (Harrow College)

“I enjoyed the visit a lot, we were very fortunate that the heavy rain stopped just before we started the climb. Not sure if it would have been fun in the rain! The guides were very good, informative and amusing without being too ‘cheesy’. For younger pupils (& older teachers!!) the climb offered just enough challenge to feel like an achievement and was certainly a talking point when in school on Monday.”

Trinity School

“The climb was quite fun and we had really great service/instruction from the staff. It all felt very safe and straightforward. Of course a new experience too, so was exciting…”

London Academy of Excellence

“Up At The O2 was fantastic, we really enjoyed it. I found that the organisation, from the check-in desk to the pre-climb briefing to the activity itself, was excellent and as a mathematician I enjoyed the little questions & statistics around the walls of the briefing room and corridors. Our climb guide was brilliant and gave a really interesting talk at the top of the O2 to point out the key viewpoints and interesting facts, and even organised some lovely weather for us! I was impressed that suitable footwear and clothing was available for use as part of the price, which would really take a headache out of taking a group of students and ensuring they’re appropriately dressed!

Overall, I would be very keen to take a group of students back to Up At The O2 for either the STEM KS3 activity or as part of a general enrichment activity and would recommend it to other departments too.”
