About.

Specially designed for key stage 1, this workshop focuses on simple and fun art activities allowing students to discover the Walker Art Gallery’s collection. They will show students that the gallery is a space for interaction and creativity, helping to create a love of art that will last a lifetime.

The Walker Art Gallery team use items from their collections to encourage discussion and develop observational skills. Students will reflect on how art makes them feel and why they like, or dislike, a piece of art, making this a great way to support language development.

This workshop is available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10.15am, 11.30am and 1.15pm.
