Bank of England Museum’s Money and the Bank of England Presentation Workshop
This Powerpoint presentation supports students’ understanding of English, maths, history and citizenship. It is suitable for cross-curricular learning such as personal, social health and economic (PSHE) lessons.

What is life like in the Amazon Rainforest? Explore animals that live there and learn about people that call it their ‘home’.
Immerse yourself in the rainforest habitat, learn about life in the rainforest and the people and animals that live there. Working as a whole class and in small groups, students will discover the importance of rainforests, the threats to their existence and consider the consequences locally and globally. Learn about the culture, beliefs and achievements of this ancient African country, Benin.
An exciting opportunity to explore stunning brass replicas of ancient Benin artwork up close. Learn about the modern and ancient history of Benin City through the artwork of the Edo people. Explore the symbolism and significance of Benin Bronzes, the stories that they tell, and debate their place in UK museums today.

Explore ancient Egyptian religion and think like Egyptologists in this interactive workshop.
Working as a whole class and in small groups, students will explore ‘mystery’ ancient Egyptian objects and discover their connection to mummification and the afterlife. There will also be time for Q&A and the opportunity to see some of their ancient Egyptian collection up close.

St Albans Cathedral’s virtual History workshops.
Join St Albans Cathedral as they introduce a variety of characters from the past, right into the heart of your classroom in these live, interactive workshops. Ideal for Key Stage 2 and lasting up to 60 minutes, each workshop covers a different period of history, including Romans, Saxons, Vikings, the Medieval Monastery, Tudors and Victorians. Interviewed by their intrepid reporter and questioned by your own students, each character uses a range of artefacts to bring the past to life.

Why not take your students on a live, interactive tour of the Cathedral in St Albans new virtual Religious Education workshop? Ideal for Key Stage 2, 3 or 4 and tailored to suit your learning needs, the activity lasts for up to 60 minutes, and can cover topics including Baptism, Communion, the Cathedral building, Understanding Christianity and the Shrines of St Alban & St Amphibalus.

The Golden Hinde’s Virtual Voyage (KS1)
Join The Golden Hinde for a Virtual Voyage and discover a world of prolific pirates.
Using multimedia and live activities, The Golden Hinde’s highly interactive workshop explores a history of pirates in your classroom, from the earliest known pirates, through to the Golden Age and up to the 21st century. Their educators will help your class deepen their historical knowledge and understanding, encouraging them to respond critically and creatively.
The KS1 Virtual Voyage is split into three parts:
- Pre-session activity: Explore ‘The Pirates Interactive Map’ with the option for students to create their own pirate.
- Virtual Classroom: Join two Golden Hinde educators on Zoom for a 1hr interactive workshop which looks at life on board an Elizabethan pirate ship and examines the reasons behind popular pirate mythology.
- Post-session activity: Use the ‘Life onboard an Elizabethan Pirate Ship’ worksheet to consolidate your students’ learning with a creative writing and drawing project.
All resources are provided by The Golden Hinde in advance of the online session to be used at home or in the classroom.

Using multimedia and live activities, The Golden Hinde’s highly interactive workshop brings The Golden Hinde to life in your classroom, allowing students to explore the histories surrounding its voyage alongside the lived experience of Elizabethan seafarers. Their educators will help your class deepen their historical knowledge and understanding, encouraging them to respond critically and creatively.

World Museum’s Virtual Classroom: Ancient Egypt – Mummification
Led by an expert from the World Museum, students will explore the various stages of the Ancient Egyptian preservation process giving them an understanding of cultures, history and science whilst developing core skills such as collaboration and communication.
The aim of this workshop is for students to come away with knowledge of the entire mummification process and an insight into the anatomy of the body through assisting in the ‘mummification’ and gain insights into the ancient Egyptian understanding of body and spirit.
