Maritime Museum’s Titanic: Travelling in Time Virtual Classroom
This virtual classroom from the Maritime Museum is perfectly suited to groups exploring the infamous story of RMS Titanic and her links to Liverpool. Students will be encouraged to think about the multiple perspectives historical events present to us.
The Maritime Museum offers the opportunity for pupils to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the many different personal experiences linked to this famous disaster that forms our impressions of the era. One focus is on the main narrative of the story, showcasing a variety of museum handling objects and on screen images to inspire curiosity and encourage interactive participation through simple tasks, opinion sharing and collaborative discussion.

Museum of Liverpool The Amazing History of Liverpool Virtual Classroom
The Museum of Liverpool offers an exciting opportunity for students to discover the history of Liverpool from the time of the first Stone Age settlers to the present day. Exploring the reasons why Liverpool became so important and some of the key characters that made it possible.
The Museum of Liverpool’s journey begins with a question; how old is Liverpool? In this demonstrator-led virtual classroom they introduce pupils to the times before Liverpool was named and move on to when King John declared Liverpool a town. Each period is brought to life by costumes, games and by exploring their unique collection of historical objects.

The Golden Hinde’s Virtual Voyage (KS1)
Join The Golden Hinde for a Virtual Voyage and discover a world of prolific pirates.
Using multimedia and live activities, The Golden Hinde’s highly interactive workshop explores a history of pirates in your classroom, from the earliest known pirates, through to the Golden Age and up to the 21st century. Their educators will help your class deepen their historical knowledge and understanding, encouraging them to respond critically and creatively.
The KS1 Virtual Voyage is split into three parts:
- Pre-session activity: Explore ‘The Pirates Interactive Map’ with the option for students to create their own pirate.
- Virtual Classroom: Join two Golden Hinde educators on Zoom for a 1hr interactive workshop which looks at life on board an Elizabethan pirate ship and examines the reasons behind popular pirate mythology.
- Post-session activity: Use the ‘Life onboard an Elizabethan Pirate Ship’ worksheet to consolidate your students’ learning with a creative writing and drawing project.
All resources are provided by The Golden Hinde in advance of the online session to be used at home or in the classroom.

Using multimedia and live activities, The Golden Hinde’s highly interactive workshop brings The Golden Hinde to life in your classroom, allowing students to explore the histories surrounding its voyage alongside the lived experience of Elizabethan seafarers. Their educators will help your class deepen their historical knowledge and understanding, encouraging them to respond critically and creatively.

- Pre-session activity: Explore ‘The Voyage of the Golden Hinde Interactive Map’ with the option to create a storyboard of the voyage.
- Virtual Classroom: Join two Golden Hinde educators on Zoom for a 1hr interactive workshop which looks at life on board an Elizabethan ship.

Walker Art Gallery’s The Art of Wellbeing Virtual Classroom
Are you looking for a session that supports your students’ wellbeing and encourages creativity? Walker Art Gallery’s Art of Wellbeing workshop has been designed to provide a safe and fun environment to introduce students to mental wellbeing and self-care.
Walker Art Gallery use artworks from their collection as inspiration and provide a space to discuss emotions, mental health and the positive effect that working creatively can have. They use a blend of creative activities and practical exercises to give students the opportunity to create something they are proud of and learn transferrable relaxation skills.
Their aim is to encourage students to take their first step in creating a self-care toolkit in an inspiring, creative session which can be continued at school with their pre and post-session activities.
